What Our Customer Needed

A 117’ diameter crude tank that has accumulated 12,000 bbls of tank bottom due to the fact it was out of service and the mixer was not operated for many years. This tank was acquired in a purchase and was neglected for a long time. Customer planned on disposing tank bottom and cutting tank up for scrap as they had no idea of the condition.

Our Solution

Install new legs to secure the roof as well as new mixer after transferring pumpable crude. Inject HCS Tank cleaner and mix for 21 days and then transfer crude to another tank for blending and shipping down the pipeline.

Results for Our Customer

The roof drain piping was clean as was the mixer prop. The tank walls were clean and free of BS to the bottom level. The roof and roof manway were clean and free of BS. Customer recovered 10,000 bbls of asset worth about $500,000.00. The chemical cost was $66,000.00 or roughly 15% of recovered asset. The customer had the tank inspected and put back into service.
