Ten Tips for Building your Trunkline Portfolio

1. Showcase **action shots** from your projects (people working, equipment moving, progress being made, etc.) 2. Showcase **before and after photos** from your projects. 3. Showcase **projects you've done in different areas of the country** and add the locations in the description and keywords. 4. Showcase project **photos of your manpower and equipment**. 5. Describe the project with **stats, metrics, dimensions, key performance indicators (KPIs), or other specific numbers**. 6. Continually **update your portfolio as you finish each new project**. 7. Add photos and descriptions **describing a problem you solved during the project**. 8. Include **advice, tips, or other knowledge you've learned** about the product or service you offer. 9. Capture **testimonials** from happy customers and add them to your portfolio. Have a bad customer experience story you turned around and solved for them? Talk about that too! We're humans and aren't perfect, but it's important to show others you're always striving to get better. 10. Follow these **best practices when adding photos**: -Add at least 3-5 photos to show different angles of the project -Use high-quality photos from a smartphone or digital camera -Try to take photos in landscape orientation rather than portrait (turn your phone sideways to take the picture instead of vertical/up and down) -Instead of posting photos of your logo, flyer, business card, or other documents, focus on showcasing photos of your project site, yard, shop, equipment, manpower, fleet, etc.
